G.W. Bush Gets Two For The Road in Iraq Today.

Today President George W. Bush was pelted by two rapidly thrown shoes by a reporter at a Baghdad Press conference.  The president was not hit by either shoe due to the Presidents nimble and reflective evasive moves.  In fact The President never took his eye off the target and reacted to his every move successfully deflecting the oncoming projectiles.

Bush and Defence Secretary Gates made an unannounced trip this morning into the Green Zone to discuss the Troop Redeployment agreements which are scheduled to end at years end.  The Press conference was underway and President was Speaking while Maliki stood at his side.

The man said as he threw his shoes:  “This is a Farewell, Dog.”  It was reported that in Iraq to throw the heals of ones shoe soles at a leader is a symbol of dissatisfaction.

Sign of dissatisfaction or not, Bush got moves.  Which takes me to my next point.  After this incident will reporters not only be screened for weapons but will also be required to leaved their shoes at the door?  Or will it become necessary for the secret service to have a mobile projectile repellent clear shield to place in front of the Presidents wherever they are speaking.
