On Obama-VS-McCain, a New Strategy

July 4, 2008 at 8:14 pm (politics) (, , , , , , , , )

I have sat by on the sidelines since Barack Obama won the Democratic nomination.  I have listened to the Pundits, the Bloggers, and News Papers discuss the issues since Hillary Clinton’s defeat as they relate to Barack Obama.  None of the issues being raised have not inspired me to weigh in and be counted on a giving issue thus far.  Today however, I will weigh in on the Obama Campaign.  As a supporter of Obama’s quest for the White House, I will praise, advise, and constructively criticize him and his campaign as I have done throughout the primaries.

My Strategy for the Obama Campaign is to tell the truth in regards to John McCain’s shameless, non-blinking lies.  John McCain tells lies at every campaign stop.  He has given the term flip flop and flailing an entire new meaning.  Lets change the dialogue from Michelle Obama’s not being proud of her country to John McCain not loving his country in which he has said in public on numerous occasions, which I would like to see more of those news clips or at least as many as we have seen and heard of Michelle Obama’s comments regarding  the first time being really proud of her country.

The Obama campaign could make an issue over the fact that the McCain’s are deadbeats in paying the city of San Diego all the back property taxes they were in arrears on taxes owed on their Million Dollar condo in La Jolla California.  As I advised the Obama Campaign during the Primaries that they must define their opponents and be on the offence.  Not just reactionaries.  That was a winning strategy implemented by the Clinton campaign in Texas and Ohio.  During those two primaries the Clinton campaign had Obama on the ropes doing what the Clinton Machine did best.  At that time Many Obama supporters including yours truly advised the Obama Camp to “Flip the Script” on his opponent and take the attack too his opponent.  At that time I concluded that Obama was dammed if he went negative and dammed if he didn’t.

Against John McCain the Republican, Obama has much more latitude in going on the offense against him. They should attack him respectfully but truthfully from now until November.  Obama should define himself and his proposals at every opportunity or else he will leave it for the republicans to do it for him.

My Contribution to Fuel Cost Savings

June 7, 2008 at 10:37 pm (We The People, politics) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , )

First of all, it is widely accepted that by decreasing global demand for Oil  We can bring down the prices we now pay.  By all consumers taking personal responsibility and us all working together, we can make a lasting contribution to our wallets and bring down the Global demand and consumption of fossil fuels into the atmosphere.

I am confident that we the people, not the Politicians, or the Oil Executives, or the Special Intrest groups, But you and me will “Be the Change That we Want to see’  through the widespread use of GPS devices and conservatism.

We will be the solution, as we were and remain the problem, by not using the latest technologies when it comes to our Commercials Fleets, (Corporate).  Our cars and SUV’S, (Personal).   And in our delivery Vans and Taxi’s (Commercial).

Global positioning devices pay for themselves in one week’s time.  They can reduce Over Time hours of  employees and in turn save  Hundreds, Thousands and Millions of dollars, if you are as big as the organization I will reference further into this article, when GPS Devices on their Delivery Trucks and commercial fleets are used.

I recognize the Resistance to new technologies on the part of supervisors who resist change or recoil at giving recognition to their underlings for coming up with cost cutting measures that they themselves did not think of themselves.  In turn these supervisors never take the ideal to fleet directors.   Many such attitudes still flourish in the work place.

A friend suggested to his supervisor that they install GPS devices into all their trucks.  My friend wanted his supervisor to take his ideal to the Director of the division for consideration.  but it apparently fail on deft ears, Several months later he said they still do not  have theses devices installed on their Trucks.  While their drivers continue to get lost, run up over-time hours, and waste diesel fuel attempting to pick up all twenty or more Pick-ups they were issued at the beginning of their shifts.

We, as a people and a Nation are not helpless.  We don’t have another day or dollor to waste by continuing to hand over our hard earned dollors into the hands of America’s enemies by not doing all we can to bring down the cost.  As Barack Obama says Yes we can, I say, I know we will.  By installing GPS devices on all of your Corporate, Commercial and Personal transportation vehicles will greatly benefit the world, but more importantly our personal wallets.

I once knew a driver of a large Transport Truck.  The Organization he drove for is internationally known as one of the premier Human Service Organizations.  He was given 20 to 25 pick-up request to go gather up from individuals donating Household items to this charity for whom he worked.

What would have saved this organization 5 to 10 gallons a day in fuel cost at $7. per gallon multiplied by thousands of their Trucks would have been to provide GPS devices in their trucks.  My friend spent half the day just trying to find locations.  They provided him with a Thomas Guides that was not always up to date and caused drivers to go  out of the way and  waste precious fuel.  I guarantee these devices will save organizations like the one I am referring to above measurable millions in savings.  On time pick ups, and less stressed drivers rushing to complete the pick ups issued to them by their supervisors at the beginning of the shift.  If companies want to reduce fuel cost and consumption, GPS devices are worth their weight in GOLD.  When we all do our small parts we will dictate the prices and not congress, oil execs, or special interest.  We have Power and we are not the foolishly helpless people the some in the middle east and else where believe we are.  I believe we are about to do it for ourselves in true American Spirit and form.

Are we together on this, Then, Yes We Will!!!!

Obama and Granholm, a perfect match if She Was not, Born In Canada

June 6, 2008 at 2:10 am (politics) (, , , , , , , , )

Jenifer Granholm the first women to win the Governor’s Mansion In the State of Michigan would be an excellent choice for vice president. She is well respected, She is a women, Highly intellectual and can greatly contest the state for Obama in Michigan in the general election.

John McCain, On the other hand, should he choose M. Romney, anticipating that Romney will deliver the state of Michigan for the Republican Party in November would have to concede that his man is the weaker candidate up against Jennifer Granholm.

Another former Governor during the run up to the 2000 presidential elections worked dutifully  to deliver the state of Michigan to G.W. Bush and to collect his Seat at the table of the Bush Administration.   John Kerry beat G.W. Bush in 2000 in Michigan and there went John Engler’s hopes of being on G.W. Bushes team. G.W. Bush never mentioned the mans name again nor did he appoint him to any position in his administration. Jenifer Granholm can be the upsetter to McCain and Romney’s calculations as well.

M. Romney’s Father was Governor of the state of Michigan a half century ago.  There are few who can remember way back then.   Many are not aware that his father was once governor, and many don’t know M. Romney outside of Grand Rapids, Lansing, and a few folks in the U.P.

Jennifer Granholm won two terms in Michigan and is the sitting Governor despite the dire economic straights the State’s economy has had to endure.  She is a great campaigner, and I think she is just as competent to be president as the former Governor sitting in the White House now.

Obama would have done well to have her as his V.P. choice.

Obama We don’t Want Hillary as V.P.

June 4, 2008 at 5:06 am (politics) (, , , , , , , , , , )

I believe if Obama chooses Hillary Clinton as his V.P.  He will get the majority of her “Eighteen Million Voters”  that she is demanding be “Respected”  I don’t believe Obama has disrespected anyone democrat or republican.    Hillary Clinton is telling Barack Obama: “Give me the V.P.  job or you will be disrespecting my Eighteen Million Voters”

What good is it to gain Eighteen Million Hillary Voters and lose Eighteen Million of his own?   Many if not all of Obama supporters art radically anti-Hillary.  They never want to see another Bush-Clinton near the White House.

Obama should be willing to lose the election, if he must, to follow his heart and convictions.  If his heart and convictions leads him to a Vice President pick other than Hillary Clinton, I hope he prefers to lose, by picking someone other than Hillary Clinton and lose if he is destined to lose.  He will feel free when he follows his heart.

Obama has to reach out as much as he can to her supporters and backers especially if he does not choose HRC as his V.P. choice.  He will have to go to the guys and gals sitting on the Tractors on the farms, driving the School Buses and waiting on tables.  He will need their support as well as his own voters support.

However if HRC manipulates and encourages discontent among her “Eighteen Million Voters”  and they hardened their hearts against an Obama Presidency, She will be aiding in an Obama lost in November.   If  she does she won’t be forgotten in 2012 when she makes her run again for the white house.

We will not forget how she aided John McCain and helped put the Republican in the White House in 2008.

McCain Challenges Obama to go to Iraq

May 30, 2008 at 2:02 am (politics) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

John McCain said Wednesday May 28 while on the Campaign trail, that Barack Obama should return to Iraq. There he can talk to the Generals on the ground and view first hand the surges progress of John McCain, Karl Rove and G.W. Bushes War.  John McCain’s suggestion Is almost laughable. Just as laughable as Barack Obama suggesting John McCain go play a two hour game of full court basketball. By doing so he can demonstrate to the American people his fitness to meet the physical demands of being President of the United States of America at his age.

The fact is, Barack Obama did go to Iraq before the so called peace dividend of the surge.  John McCain will say and do anything to divert the voters attention away from Scot McClellan’s scathing new book. Where it is asserted that the war in Iraq, John McCain, Karl Rove and G.W.Bushes War, was an ideological propaganda driven creation for the Bush Administration to have a war for the sake of going to war. John (no shame) McCain upon his next visit to Iraq should announce when he will be visiting Iraq,  He is announcing that Obama will be coming soon.  It would be a logistical nightmare, as well as, a pre announced visit by Obama. John McCain has been announcing it over the last week. I hope Obama is not being pressured by the McCain camp to go back into the War Zone to make political points.

It is Obama’s Choice to go or not to go. If he should go I hope it will not be because John McCain has been saying on the campaign trail that Obama has gone to Iraq one time  back in 2006 during the height of violence. Obama Does not need to go for his supporters to support him and those who will not support  him because he does not go and succumb to pressure from John McCain. they were not Obama supporters anyway,

John McCain and Bush have attempted liberation for the Iraqi people by removing a ”vicious Tyrant” and installing democracy. Other than that, please someone tell us why thousands of Americans have been slain and thousands more crippled both physically and mentally in defense of America? However this War in Iraq turns out to be, it will go down in HISTory.
